There has been a buzz in the ACT chapters.
Members wanted to learn how to manage their careers and maximize their potential. They wanted to work with someone who would understand their concerns within the company. There has been a need for mentorship program for ACT members.
ACT announces a partnership with TWA (The Women’s Alliance) Mentoring Program. This program will become available to ACT members starting January 2008. By leveraging TWA’s existing program, we are able to access over 50 existing mentors and utilize their infrastructure with minimal cost and delay.
To participate in the TWA mentorship program as a Mentee, a $36 annual fee will be required. For female ACT members, this fee includes membership and benefits as TWA members. This fee is required as it pays for the cost of the web-based service used to match Mentors with Mentees. Neither ACT nor TWA retain any portion of the fee, all of it goes toward the service. ACT and TWA are actually helping to subsidize the cost of licenses for Mentors and any unused licenses.
If ACT members would like to join the program as a Mentor, please contact Ashok Gupta.
The ACT Board wishes to thank Pinyo Bhulipongsanon for his tireless efforts and personal initiative.
More information about the Mentoring Program can be found on the TWA site and ACT presentation.
