I am pleased to announce new ACT Board Members,
Ashok Gupta has been involved with ACT from its founding in 2003, and has been a supportive and committed ACT Executive Advisor. Ashok is VP Alliance Development, responsible for coordinating XOG/PSG software development outsourcing activities. Ashok works out of El Segundo, California.
Manisha Mande is the outgoing ACT Greater Rochester Chapter President. During her tenure, she provided outstanding leadership to the chapter delivering leadership programs and partnering with Asian networks of other companies. Manisha is Multinational Launch Manager, A4 products, and works in Rochester, New York.
Ashok and Manisha will serve a two year term, from January 2007 through December 2008. The ACT Board of Directors serves a staggered term in office. Ashok and Manisha join incumbent Board Members:

Daniel McCue is the Chief Technology Officer for the Xerox Production Systems Group. In previous roles in Xerox Office and Research Groups, Dan has led various systems engineering, architecture and software development teams. Dan joined the Corporate Research Group in Xerox in 1992 from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne where he lectured in Computer Science for three years. Prior to teaching, Dan worked for a variety of high-tech companies including Encore Computer, Apollo, Hewlett-Packard, and Digital Equipment Corporation.
In this event, Dan graciously explained his view of innovation, which includes models, cause/effect, patent concentration, fact and strategy in IP management.

Dear ACT members and friends:
I’m pleased to announce a new, very strong, slate of officers for the Wilsonville Chapter of ACT. Their one year terms commence January 2007. Please join me in congratulating our new officers and wishing them success in their new roles:
Pratima Rao assumes the role of Wilsonville chapter President. She is responsible for the chapter PEP; budgetary proposals; and information sharing with members, other ACT chapters, local caucus groups, our executive advisors, and human resources.
Ngoc-Diep Nguyen and Deepthi Sid will jointly assume the role of VP of Professional Development. In this role, they will organize leadership development events, communication development events, and management roundtables.
Chelsea Nguyen will assume the role of VP of Membership and Communication. She will be responsible for communicating local and national information, and maintaining the email membership lists.
Leonard Guan and Ashutosh Sanzgiri will jointly assume the role of VP of Community Activities. They will coordinate community outreach activities and collaborate with groups outside of Xerox.
In addition, a big “THANK YOU!” to Susan Winata and Andrey Kim, who after many years of contributions are stepping back from their officer roles.
And personally, it’s been a real pleasure working with so many great people during my two and a half year tenure as the president of the Wilsonville chapter of ACT. It wouldn’t have been a success without you!

I am pleased to announce the Core ACT Committee, Rochester Chapter. Please join me in congratulating these new members of the ACT 2006 Core Committee, and in wishing them success in their new assignments.
Olivia Ouyang and Yuanjia Zhang will jointly assume the role of VP, Programs and Events. In this role, they will be responsible for the creation and implementation of ACT programs that support the overall Chapter objectives and membership feedback.
Pushpa Gogineni will continue to assume the role of VP, Membership and Communications and will focus on engaging an active participation from the ACT membership. She will also be responsible for communicating the Chapter plans, events, and for gathering regular feedback from its members.
Manisha Mande and Siddhartha Bhattacharya will jointly assume the role of VP, Special Events providing ongoing guidance and support for any special events that are held by ACT or jointly with the Rochester Asian Network.
We hope to see your continued involvement in 2007 ACT events and programs and want to thank you for your support of the Rochester Asians Coming Together Chapter.
